Taylor's House of Hope
About
Taylor's House of Hope is a newly established 501(c)(3) non-profit maternity home located in the North Houston area. It is one of only three maternity homes serving a 14-county area and the only one in the North Houston region. The organization's primary focus is to provide support and assistance to teenagers and young women facing unplanned pregnancies.
The mission of Taylor's House of Hope is to transform a crisis pregnancy into an opportunity for success by equipping young women with the knowledge and skills necessary to become self-sufficient. The organization offers a range of services and programs aimed at empowering these individuals. Life skill classes, career training, parenting education, financial budgeting, cooking, and diet are just a few examples of the comprehensive support provided.
Currently, Taylor's House of Hope does not have a physical facility or home. However, plans are underway to acquire property in the North Houston area to establish a shelter for expectant mothers. This facility will serve as a temporary residence until the mothers give birth or make alternative living arrangements. Residents will receive cost-free housing, meals, prenatal care, counseling, and access to educational or employment opportunities. Most importantly, they will be surrounded by a compassionate and supportive community during their time of need.
Taylor's House of Hope aims to create a nurturing and empowering environment where young mothers can find the resources and support they need to thrive. By offering comprehensive services and a safe haven, the organization strives to make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of these young women and their children.

About The Founder
In 2014, Taylor Harris's life took a drastic turn when she believed she had found the man of her dreams. However, her hopes and dreams were shattered as she faced a series of challenges. At the age of 19, she dropped out of college, lost her job, and even experienced the misfortune of her car's engine blowing up, leaving her homeless. Taylor couldn't help but feel foolish for believing in a future that seemed so promising.
But amidst the chaos, Taylor discovered that she was pregnant with her beautiful daughter. However, her joy was short-lived as the person she thought she would start a family with abandoned her during her fourth month of pregnancy. This left Taylor feeling lonely, depressed, angry, resentful, and heartbroken for nine long months. She made the decision not to return to her parent's house with a baby and resolved to take charge of her life.
In April 2015, Taylor found herself in a maternity home that would change her life. Despite the challenges she faced, she was able to experience the best pregnancy ever, thanks to the support and care she received. When her daughter was three months old, Taylor found herself entangled with her daughter's father once again, only to be abandoned once more when she became pregnant with her son. This left her feeling devastated and alone.
Taylor went through two pregnancies and deliveries without any support, which took a toll on her mental health. She battled depression for two years, constantly reaching out to the father of her children but receiving no response. During this time, she and her babies experienced homelessness.
However, today Taylor's story has taken a positive turn. She has found solace in her faith and has been saved by grace. She has healed from her depression and is no longer held captive by her past. Taylor has managed to maintain a life of stability, has refrained from sexual immorality, and has found comfort in being a single woman. Taylor has been able to focus on her personal growth. She is currently working on obtaining her degree and is eager to use her experiences to help other young mothers who may be going through similar struggles.
Taylor's journey is a testament to her resilience and determination. Despite facing numerous setbacks and heartbreaks, she has emerged stronger and more empowered. She is now ready to support and uplift other young mothers, offering them hope and guidance on their paths to healing and success.
